Camper Workshop 2010

This time last summer, I had the most fortunate opportunity to join 8 other designers in a workshop entitled 'Master Class in Master Crafts' put on by the Barcelona Design Center and Camper. It was a 10 day intensive workshop focused on traditional shoemaking and leather craft. Not having really any idea what to expect out of this trip (minus learning how to make shoes in the traditional sense) it had turned out to be 10 of the most inspirational and magical days of my life. Located on the island of Mallorca in Spain, I was amongst 8 other amazingly talented designers from across the globe PLUS...

We created a wonderful bond together that seals us as dear friends for life! I am obviously being very sentimental about this as it was exactly 1 year ago that I was there, so I figure its an appropriate time to post something about it.
